Death Penalty Abolishment Receives Support From Dr. Mahtani.

There is little doubt that the current Covid-19 pandemic has presented serious and protracted difficulties for the nations of the world. Economic and social activities are gradually returning to normal as the pandemic progressively recedes with God’s grace and the hard effort of healthcare professionals. There have been some improvements during the past year, even though it will be a while before the economy and social life reach their pre-pandemic levels. The Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference and Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award event are two of them. The conference and awards ceremony was conducted in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as usual, this year. The meeting from the previous year, however, was conducted online, with members taking part from their separate places.

The conference was streamed live on YouTube to a global audience. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who was invited to this conference as an honorary speaker, spoke on the healthcare sector’s leadership and contributions to minimizing the harmful effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, Dr.Rajan Mahtani was the recipient of a Forbes “Best of Africa” honor. Forbes honors the long-lasting and sustainable contributions made by pioneers and visionaries in several fields. Dr.Rajan Mahtani received recognition for his contributions to reshaping Zambia’s banking industry. Dr. Mahtani received the “Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Forbes and FIN in 2021 as a result. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was honored for his charitable work in addition to his contributions to Zambia’s banking sector, most notably through the Stephen Malama Award and Scholarship for the country’s top law graduates and Prison Fellowship Zambia. Prison Fellowship Zambia is a noted Christian Outreach Program in Zambia.

Hakainde Hichilema, the president of Zambia, recently declared his intention to entirely repeal the country’s death sentence law. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who endorsed this assertion, stated that his organization Prison Fellowship Zambia (PFZ) will offer legal and regulatory help to make sure that this choice is implemented.
