Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s Contributions Recognised By Forbes In Business Award

 

Even though Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has won several accolades in his lifetime, the latest award by Forbes holds a special place. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently awarded with the famous award by Forbes. Forbes along with FIN (Foreign Investment Limited) gave the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards recently. These awards hold a special significance as a result of their rigorous verification process which includes months of evaluation and interviews with the potential candidates and discussions about philanthropy and sustainability of the nation. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony was held during the annual FIN leadership and philanthropy roundtable conference. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj was invited in this conference as a honorary speaker and spoke about the significance of political leadership in achieving development and sustainability in healthcare. It was high time an international organization like Forbes identifies the numerous contributions from Dr. Mahtani towards empowerment of the Zambian nation and African continent. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was presented with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year’ award 2021 for his invaluable contributions towards redefining the financial and banking sector of Zambia.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani is owner of several top companies in Zambia, including Mahtani Group of Companies wherein he is currently the Group Chairman and Finsbury Investments, a top investment organization. The Mahtani Group was founded in the year 1981 and quickly transformed into a conglomerate reaching several locations such as South Africa, Malawi and United Kingdom. The company also expanded its business to several sectors such as agriculture, energy, mining, finance & insurance as well as real estate. Along with business contributions, the philanthropic and charitable contributions by Dr. Mahtani are innumerable. He founded the Prison Fellowship Zambia which is a program aimed towards supporting and caring for inmates, ex-inmates as well as their families. Also, he is the founder of Stephen Malama award which includes a scholarship program along with financial benefits for top graduating law candidate from Zambia.
